Abiotic factors
In the tundra there is strong winds with little percipitation. There are short summer days with very long and cold winters. Due to permafrost only the top layer of the soil thaws in the summer disabling trees ability to grow in the tundra. This biome also has nutrient poor soil. The tundra's climate during the winter is between -30 to 20 degress○F. The precipitation of this biome totals from 6 to 10 inches of rain a year.
